1. About Brewline
Brewline is currently a university demonstration project. Checkout operates in test mode, and demo orders do not create real purchases, deliveries or subscriptions. Please use test payment details and avoid entering sensitive personal information.
The purchasing terms below describe the proposed service for a future live store. They do not indicate that live sales or subscriptions are currently available.
2. Products and product information
Brewline offers whole coffee beans in the varieties and pack sizes shown on individual product pages. Please check the product description, quantity and available options before ordering.
Product and packaging images are illustrative and may include digitally generated content. For live sales, descriptions will identify the product being supplied, including relevant origin, ingredient and roasting information.
Tasting notes describe the intended flavour profile. Your brewing method, equipment and preparation may affect the taste. These natural differences do not reduce your rights where a product is faulty or materially different from its description.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Any delivery charges will be shown before you confirm payment.
Available payment methods will appear at checkout. Availability may vary by device and payment provider.
If a pricing or product-description error affects your order, we will explain the issue and offer you the choice of proceeding on the corrected basis or cancelling for a full refund. We will not charge an increased amount without your agreement.
4. Orders, changes and cancellations
For live orders, please provide accurate contact and delivery details and check your order before submitting it.
Orders are subject to product availability. If we cannot supply an ordered item, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative for your approval or a refund for the unavailable item.
Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. We will accommodate the request where reasonably possible. Once preparation or dispatch has begun, changes may no longer be possible. This does not affect your rights concerning faulty, incorrect or undelivered goods.
5. Delivery
The proposed delivery service is intended for Australian addresses. Eligible destinations, delivery charges and estimated timeframes will be displayed before payment.
Dispatch time refers to when an order leaves Brewline. Delivery time refers to when it reaches you. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed unless we expressly state otherwise.
If your order is delayed, missing, damaged or delivered incorrectly, please contact us. We will investigate with the delivery provider and arrange an appropriate resolution. You will not be required to resolve a delivery problem solely with the courier.
6. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are planned and will become available only when explicitly offered on the website.
Before subscribing, you will be shown the coffee selection, quantity, recurring price, delivery frequency, billing schedule and any minimum commitment. Recurring payments will require your express agreement.
For subscriptions without a disclosed minimum commitment, you may pause, skip or cancel future deliveries before the displayed next billing date, through your account or by contacting us. No cancellation fee will apply.
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically cancel an order already prepared or dispatched. Contact us about any payment already taken so we can assess the order’s status and applicable refund rights.
We will notify you of proposed price or material service changes before they affect a renewal, allowing a reasonable opportunity to cancel before the changed charge occurs.
7. Returns, refunds and consumer rights
Nothing in these terms restricts rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If goods have a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement, or retain them and seek compensation for their reduced value. Other failures must be remedied within a reasonable time. Compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss may also be available.
We do not offer change-of-mind returns for coffee, including where a customer simply prefers a different flavour. This does not affect claims involving faulty, unsafe, incorrect or misdescribed products.
To report a problem, contact us with your order number or another reasonable proof of purchase. Photographs and batch details may help our assessment, where available. Original packaging is not required to exercise your consumer rights.
Where a product problem is confirmed, we will cover reasonable return costs. Refunds will normally use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Required refunds will not be reduced by payment-processing fees. Bank processing times may vary.
8. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us if you notice an incorrect, duplicate or unrecognised charge so we can investigate.
You may also contact your bank or payment provider to ask about dispute or chargeback options. Contacting Brewline does not replace that process or extend the provider’s deadlines.
We will cooperate with legitimate investigations and provide relevant order and payment records. If a refund and chargeback concern the same transaction, we will coordinate with the payment provider to avoid duplicate reimbursement.
9. Website use
Please use the website lawfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with website security, submit malicious content or misuse payment facilities.
Where customer accounts become available, keep your login details secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the website and services develop. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.
Changes will not retrospectively alter accepted orders. Material changes affecting an ongoing subscription will be communicated before they take effect, with a reasonable opportunity to cancel future renewals.
11. Contact
For questions about these terms, orders, subscriptions, refunds or payment concerns, please use the Contact page on the Brewline website.
